Xiaomi Mi 8 reportedly launches in Europe in August with 2 variants

Xiaomi Mi 8

The Xiaomi Mi 8 was announced at an event in China just a couple of weeks ago. Xiaomi launched three devices in the family: Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition, and Xiaomi Mi 8 SE. The devices all look very 2018. Slim bezels on all sides, slightly thicker chin, and the infamous display notch up top. One of these variants is headed to Europe later this Summer.

According to a report from WinFuture, the standard Xiaomi Mi 8 model is coming to the European continent in August. The fancier Explorer Edition or the 8GB of RAM variant is not coming at this time. There will be two storage sizes to choose from: 6GB RAM + 64GB storage or 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The phone will also be available in black and blue colors.

One of the cool features of the Mi 8 is the dual-frequency GPS. It uses a newer L5 band on top of the older L1 band to increase location accuracy by up to 5 times. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is listed for 480 and 520 Euros in Switzerland, which makes it a pretty nice deal, but still not as cheap as Xiaomi’s home country of China. If you’re looking to grab a top-notch Xiaomi device in Europe, this could be a nice option.
