Moto Z3 Play and Moto G6 Play arrive as Amazon Prime exclusives with discounted prices

Amazon is constantly looking for additional perks to entice customers to sign up for their Prime membership service. One of the more recent benefits came in the form of the Amazon Prime Exclusive program where you could purchase Android smartphones for less than retail price. This originally meant that you would be shown ads on the lock screen to make up for the price, but that was removed earlier this year. Since its introduction, the company has been adding more and more devices to this program with the Moto Z3 Play and the Moto G6 Play being the latest inclusions.

There are a lot of low-end and mid-range devices in the Amazon Prime Exclusive program, but many would say the Moto Z3 Play belongs in the upper mid-range category. The device comes with a 6.01-inch AMOLED display capable of a 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution. Inside it has the Snapdragon 636 SoC from Qualcomm with 4GB of RAM and this model is equipped with 64GB of internal storage. The Motorola smartphone typically costs $500, but anyone taking advantage of this deal will be able to take $50 off that retail price.

Then we have the lower-end Moto G6 Play, which will typically run you around $200, but Amazon Prime subscribers will get the phone for $10 less. Definitely not as much of a discount as the Moto Z3 Play, but it certainly is better than paying full price. The Moto G6 Play has a 5.7-inch LCD display capable of a 720 x 1440 pixel resolution. Inside it comes with the Snapdragon 430 SoC from Qualcomm, and this model comes with 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage.

Both devices have a microSD card slot for expandable storage but it’s the Moto Z3 Play that you’ll want to pick up if you want to use any of the company’s Moto Mods. You can pre-order the devices now and they will start shipping on June 29th.
