HTC Launches the HTC One X10 in Russia

Back in November of last year, we saw the first hint about HTC releasing a smartphone called the HTC One X10 in Russia. This happened when HTC got the device certified within the country alongside others such as the HTC 10 Evo and the HTC Desire 650. We didn’t know much about the device then, or when the company would decide to launch it either. A couple of month later in January, Evan Blass started talking about the device and he spoke of some hardware specs that his sources leaked.

His original rumor said the HTC One X10 would come in the first quarter of the year, that it would come with a 5.5″ 1080p display, and that it would be equipped with a MediaTek MT6755 SoC. Mr. Blass went on to say the device would have 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 16.3MP rear camera and a 7.9MP front-facing camera. The release date was off by a month but these types of things can be delayed at the drop of a dime (and it could have been quietly launched in other countries).

Other than the release date, the rest of the rumor looks to be right on the head. The HTC One X10 does in fact use the MediaTek MT6755 SoC (which is also known as MediaTek Helio P10) and it does come with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. The rear camera is advertised as 16MP and the front-facing camera is advertised as 8MP. Lastly, the device does indeed have a 5.5″ 1080p LCD display with “Corning Gorilla Glass” (although we don’t know what grade at this time).

The only big spec that we didn’t see mentioned in the rumor was the battery. This is generally an area where HTC drops the ball, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. Instead of the 3,000mAh capacity battery that we’re used to HTC using, they’ve opted for a 4,000mAh battery with the One X10.
