Unity 4.7.0 Named the Final Public Release of Unity 4

In an e-mail to developers who have used the Unity video game development platform, the Unity Team has announced that version 4.7.0 will be the final public release of Unity 4. The team will no longer provide official support to developers using Unity 4 and recommends any new games to be built off of Unity 5.3. Unity has also provided a guide on manually upgrading your project to Unity 5.3 if you want to take advantage of its new features.
